It has been a summer like never before. New places, new people, and new stories. Monday it is back to reality when Sloan orientation starts and the LGO bubble will be popped as we join the full Sloan population. Thinking back over the summer there was so much that happened. Since my thoughts tend to come in bullet points with numbers, I tried to summarize the summer that way.
Summer by the numbers
- 1,441 miles driven cross country
- 1 new roommate (my fiance)
- 5 road trips (KS to Cambridge, Philadelphia, NYC, Long Sand Beach Maine, Manchester by the sea beach)
- ~80 new friends (according to Facebook)
- 1 new drinking game (BOOM)
- 22 Scorpion bowls (that have been documented...)
- 8 classes completed
- 12 problem sets
- 4 case write ups
- 4 final tests
- 3 final projects
- ~50 Diet Cokes purchased from the lounge
- 4 plant tours
- countless trips on the T
- 0 regrets about choosing LGO
That does not even start to cover everything I have learned and experienced this summer. I hope that this blog will document some of the highlights for the summer and over the next few years. One of the things we learned this summer was to take time to reflect so here's hoping it continues.

Watching the Royals pull off a 9th inning from behind victory over the Red Sox at Fenway.

Playing tourist in NYC we got to see the 9/11 memorial and One World Trade Center |

Tried pastrami for the first time at Katz Deli and it was a success |

It felt a bit Gossip Girl to eat on the steps but the Costume exhibit and Impressionists were amazing inside the Met |

After watching the first 5 seasons of 30 Rock this summer we had to go look. Plus my old company had a floor in there somewhere. |

Most attempts at a photo shoot in NYC were a failure but this one almost overlooking the Statue of Liberty wasn't too bad |
