My Background

My name is Carrie Beyer.  When I was looking at the LGO (Leaders for Global Operations) program I read a lot of blogs by current and former LGOs. It helped me understand what life was actually like as a student and reaffirmed my interest. I am writing to give my prospective to future students. Also, I would like to develop my story telling skills and this seemed like a good opportunity.

  • Education:
    • Kansas State University Bachelors/Masters in Industrial Engineering (2011)
    • LGO Fellow at MIT, MBA Candidate Sloan School of Management and SM Engineering Systems Candidate, MIT School of Engineering

  • Pre-B-School Employment: Deloitte Consulting. After four years in the real world, I decided to go back to school. After looking at different MBA programs, the LGO Program at MIT was my first choice and in Spring 2015 I got the call that I was accepted!
  • Hobbies: Travel, crafts, baking, puppies (I won't let myself have one until I have a yard, I live vicariously through others)
  • Personal Life: Engaged and living in Cambridge, MA
